Who we are

Clank (clank.co.za) is responsible for information collected on clank.co.za. Information Officer: the owner of Clank. Contact us through the form on the Get started page.

What we collect

• From the enquiry form: your name, business name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the plan you’re interested in (or a Custom job), any add-ons you tick, your domain situation and your message.
• From email: whatever you send us.
• The enquiry form doesn’t send anything to our servers. It opens your own email app with your answers filled in, and we receive it as a normal email.
• We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies on this website.

We don’t ask for passwords or payment details on this website.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, confirm your plan and price, and, if you become a client, to provide the service. We don’t use it for marketing without asking you separately.

Where it’s stored and who processes it

Your emails are stored in our business mailbox, and this website is hosted by Cloudflare. Our email and hosting providers are service providers that process information on our behalf and may store it outside South Africa. We only use providers bound by data-protection terms that give your information protection comparable to POPIA.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are deleted after 12 months, unless you become a client.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to us using it. Ask through the form on the Get started page.

Complaints

If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
